Field Sales Representative

Job Summary

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through in-person customer interactions. This role involves prospecting, conducting sales presentations, identifying customer needs, and delivering solutions that drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-oriented, and skilled at building long-term customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and sales calls.
  • Develop and implement territory sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Understand customer business challenges and recommend appropriate products or services.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms while maintaining profitability.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and operations teams to support customer needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of field sales, business development, or account management experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
